American Walnut is a figured hardwood with great low-mid response. With a tighter grain than Maple, Walnut produces fewer high frequencies. Darker in tone, and looks, than Bubinga it has a richness, that while prominent, is not over stated, consistently producing full yet balanced tonal character whether tuned up or down. American Walnut shells are 7 ply and are available in four beautiful high gloss lacquer finishes. The Natal US Rock Configuration features deep sized Toms for great bottom end projection and volume that will cut through both live or in the studio. With a 24" bass drum and 13" rack tom, the kit will not only sound huge, but it will look powerful too. An increasingly popular set-up, the world over.
