American Walnut is a figured hardwood with great low-mid response. With a tighter grain than Maple, Walnut produces fewer high frequencies. Darker in tone, and looks, than Bubinga it has a richness, that while prominent, is not over stated, consistently producing full yet balanced tonal character whether tuned up or down. American Walnut shells are 7 ply and are available in four beautiful high gloss lacquer finishes. Almost identical to our Fusion X configuration the US Fusion X includes a 16 inch floor Tom instead of the 14 inch floor tom. Again, all toms are the new shallow sizes for extra attack and better positioning options and the 16inch floor tom add that extra bottom end sound. The US Fusion X D includes an extra deep (20” deep) 22” Bass Drum. In addition to the standard configurations listed, individual drums of almost any size are available as additional drums or for use when creating your own personal configuration.
