Remo’s wrench tuned Shime Daiko features a Turnbuckle-tensioning system making it very easy to tune. You can evenly tune the drum with ten, 3/8 in. tuning lugs to an extremely high pitch, typical for this traditional instrument. The TYPE 10 NUSKYN drumheads are inspired by the traditional Taiko drum heads and are stitched over a durable steel ring producing a bright full sound without the pitch being affected with varying climate changes. The ACOUSTICON Drum shell is lathed turned with a traditional routed bearing edge for a bright full sound and looks much like the Japanese traditional Shime Daiko.
