MX1 - Customize your level of articulation! With Evans MX Marching Bass heads, there are no glues or adhesives. These heads offer a unique damping system that enables articulation and a tonal quality previously unheard of in marching applications. A single 6.5mil internal flap holds in place a series of eight felt damping inserts. The felt arcs can be moved freely in order to open and close nodal channels to either increase or decrease the amount of vibration. The result is an immediate, focused fundamental making the head easier to tune. After outdoor season, insert all the felt arcs underneath the internal flap to achieve dry articulation with tone sought after for indoor drum line competition

MS1 - You decide! This traditional-sounding, 10mil, single-ply head gives discerning drummers the option to customize their sound with the damping system of their choice such as self-adhesive foam strips or homemade patches. Using crumpled newspaper to mute your basses? Your muting system is not detectable as Evans heads are solid white and cannot be seen through. With durability equal to the MX bass head series, these heads will project warm, musical tones indoors and outdoors. All heads come with the Evans logo custom printed on the lower third of the head.
