Charity Information:

tithe   (tīth)   n.  A tenth part of one's annual income contributed voluntarily or due as a tax, especially for the support of the clergy or church.

“With great power comes great responsibility”

At Rupps Drums, we believe a company should encompass other virtues outside of just being profitable.  This includes integrity, and tithing (giving back to charity).  After all, what better goal in life, whether it be work or personal, than to make this muddled world a better place to live in?!

So, we sat down, and asked the question, “What matters most to each of us?  What charity is most important to you?”

And with that, we came up with our answers, a plan of giving back.  Monthly, we are giving 10% of income back to the following charities.

Jim, outside of his love for drumming, is a bicycle enthusiast.  He loves the outdoors.  He occasionally rides his bike to work, over a 20 mile commute.  Colorado is one of the best places to escape to, and see the beauty of nature.  So, Jim’s pick was for his love of the outdoors, and keeping it beautiful.  His choice… The Colorado Open Lands Project.

Brad, outside of his love for drumming, has a passion for animals.  One of the greatest gifts of his life is considered to be the 8 ½ years he got to spend with his dog Smokey (nickname Saurus).  From college in Michigan, to Steamboat Springs in Colorado, to Arizona, they were rarely apart, whether it be at home, the outdoors, or even at work.  As a result of this and his love for dogs, he supports the prevention of cruelty to animals.  His choice… the ASPCA.

We believe in making a POSITIVE difference in this world, and being thankful for what we have.  Know that your money being spent at Rupps Drums is not only going to the numerous beautiful and wonderful benefits of making music for yourself, but also to benefit the organizations which have a proven track record of making a difference to this wonderful experience we call life.
