Today's multiple stroke techniques are executed effortlessly with the extra margin of playable area, which converntional players will find to be an enhancemant as well. Laser engraving on the footboard makes a smooth, but tactile surface where the laser has burned through the black anodize and created an aluminum oxide finish. The aluminum oxide has a slightly grainy tooth which allows for a non-skid surface. The monumental footboard combined with the massive attack of the A21 beater angle increases the dynamism of any style of drumming.

Derek Roddy is acclaimed as an accomplished clinician and educator and is expert in any drumming style including Extreme and Modern Metal, Jazz, Blues and Rock. The Derek Roddy Signature Edition A21 with Electronic Kit incorporates the A21 beater bracket and includes ideas from Derek and his forum to make the pedals more user friendly, such as the drum key adjustments for the beater angle adjustment and Variable Drive Lever. Also, locating posts on the base plate prevent having to change the settings for the drum beater and Electronic Kit detonator angles. The self contained Electronic Kit allows triggering without the use of external adhesive piezos eliminating cross-talk and double triggering. The base plates are smooth with the distinctive design applied by laser. Derek approvingly road tested and evaluated the new model, and we are proud to offer this as his signature pedal.

This design greatly increases leverage and power by allowing the entire leg (calf and knee) to be powerfully expressed with the utilization of heel-toe strokes. The Axis A Longboards are available in the entire Axis line. Additionally, the A Longboards Upgrades will retro-fit any existing Axis Pedals. Axis Hardware - Axis Electronic Conversion Kit

The EKIT is truly an Axis Percussion innovation. Now you can trigger your bass drum without the use of unreliable external acoustic bass drum triggers. Totally redesigned, this unique mechanical trigger easily mounts onto any AXIS bass drum pedal and lets you choose the exact moment and strength of your acoustic triggering. No more cross talk, double triggering, duct tape or trigger fatigue. This kit also has everything that you need to turn any AXIS A or X pedal into a stand-alone electronic bass drum. Simply turn the beater around, add the supplied stopper pad and your AXIS pedal functions as a dynamic electronic bass drum pad and pedal all in one. This kit is available with or without the Beater Stop.

EKITS can be used with Left-Handed Double Pedals, but must be installed on the slave pedal at the factory. Please call for more info.
